Did you know that 1 in every 3 bites of food we eat relies on the pollination of honey bees? Bees are a vital part of our food system and our ecosystem. More and more honey bees are being killed each day due to changes in our environment, such as exposure to toxic pesticides, pests, diseases, and viruses that have been newly introduced to our islands. Water and Seed has teamed up with the Hoʻōla Honey Bee Relocation Project in efforts to support our local bee rescuing heroes. We have created a custom design for Hoʻōla to honor our beloved honey bees. From now until April 30, 2020 Water and Seed will donate 30% of "Nalo Meli" design proceeds to the Hoʻōla Honey Bee Relocation project.
The Hoʻōla Honey Bee Relocation Project is a fiscally sponsored project of the North Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your contributions are greatly appreciated to help fulfill our important mission of saving Hawaiʻi's bees.
